SSD のコントローラに演算回路を実装し，ゲノム解析分野における遺伝子変異データベースの集約処理に適用した．提案方式は，従来の SSD からデータを読み出して CPU で処理する方式よりも 1.4 倍高速であることが分かった．さらに，SSD 3 of near-data processing is a hot topic, in order to reduce data transfer cost and get higher system performances. We implemented multiple processing units in a software-controlled PCIe card SSD to aggregate gene variants in a genome analysis database. Our proposed method achieves 1.4 times faster than that of conventional methods, which basically fetch data from a SSD database to main memory and process genome anal ysis with multiple CPU.
