JavaScript を用いることがあった．しかし，この形態ではファイルの扱いが煩雑であることや，エラーの発生やメッセージがわかりにくいこと，プログラムをローカルファイルで保存するため自宅での予習復習を行いにくいことのような欠点がある．そこで著者らはブラウザだけでプログラミング学習を行える環境 Bit Arrow を開発した．本環境では，ファイルをクラウド上に格納することでネットワークとブラウザがあればいつでもどこでも学習でき，エラーメッセージとその原因となった場所を表示する．また，初学者にはわかりにくいオブジェクト指向とイベント駆動が中心となる JavaScript
