Until recently, 3D printers were extremely expensive, and thus difficult for industrial and vocational schools, or even universities, to purchase. Nowadays, even individuals are able to buy them with relative ease. However, at present, the educational use of 3D printing is concentrated in junior high school industrial arts classes, high schools, vocational schools, and universities; whereas examples of their application in the lower grades of elementary school cannot be found.
