The system enables our students to send attendance check wherever a device (such as a smartphone) can receive BLE beacons. Online BLE localization server estimates position of a device by using BLE beacons and their received signal strength indicator (RSSI). To achieve localization-based attendance check at each lecture room, we have installed about 1600 BLE beacon emitters in our campus. In this paper, we show an outline of the localization-based attendance check system, improvements from current attendance check system and statistics of the system since it was launched.
