We propose an approach to stylized shading in stroke-based rendering styles that better preserve the temporal coherence. Existing example-based approaches typically process frame by frame independently, which leads to the lack of temporal coherence. In contrast, the goal of the proposed method is to animate the brush strokes according to the lighting interaction with preserving the temporal coherence. These features are achieved by providing a light-dependent parameter updating scheme which controls brush stroke elements such as size, color, orientation, and position. We would like to show demonstration of our prototype system to discuss the proposed concept. |
