The methods using the correlation dimensions or HMM need long data thus are not suitable for diagnosis. We attempt to identify good indices using short sequences of length 50. Considering dementia to be caused by deterioration of memory due aging, we compare various indices computed by using data taken from subjects of different age groups and select effective ones. In addition, we propose a new index, repeat pattern (RP).
