組織のグローパリゼーションの進行に従い 遠隔地間での密なコミュニケーションの手段が求められている本論文ではこのような傾向に対応するために グループウェアの基盤として研究開発しているマルチメディア分散在席会議システム MERMAID について述べる本システムは 情報処理技術と通信技術を統合することによりグループの協同作業を総合的に支援するための基盤であるグループ通信アーキテクチャ(GCA)に基づいている本システムの主な特徴は ?ワークステーションを使って広域多者(多地点)の会議をはじめとするグループ協同作業を支援する ?動画 音声 文字 図形 イメージ 手書きを含むマルチメディアが扱える ?共有画面操作権の移行 途中参加・退席 個人用作業空間の保持などフレキシブルな会議ができる ?会議に必要な機能をサーバに分担させたため システム構築が容易となった などである本システムを利用することにより
