In this paper, we will consider guidelines from the pedagogical point of view. Specifically, we will first collect about 98 cases of SNS use guidelines that universities in Japan have officially stipulated as of April, 2015. After that, we will conduct a qualitative and quantitative analysis on them. Based on this analysis, we will reveal what kind of stance Japanese universities have been taking toward SNS.
