Those studies have shown the tendency that more-commented programs are more bug-prone. However, since comment descriptions are usually at the developer's discretion and are likely to be varied among different developers, such a diversity may have a big impact on the bug prediction accuracy. Thus, this paper measures the amount of comments by developers, and analyzes the differences among individuals.
