京都大学では 2011 年 12 月より Microsoft のクラウドサービスを採用し学生向けメールサービスを運用している．本発表では，（1） これまでの 3 年余の運用と Microsoft の行ってきた 「カイゼン」 を総括する （2） 同社に限らず，クラウド系サービスが必ずしも大学という組織に合っていないことを指摘し，あらためて大学で求められるサービスの要件とその品質について議論する （3） Microsoft のデータセンター/システム運用について実際のユーザになってはじめて分かったことを列挙し，今後クラウドサービスを採用する大学の検討材料を提供する． |

We use Microsoft cloud service as students email service since December, 2011. In this talk, first, we summarize our usage ang operation over 3 and a half years and the improvement (Kaizen) of the service. Second, we discuss about the requirement and the quality of cloud service specific for university because of the mismatch between cloud based service and the use of the organization such as university. Third, we present the considerations for the university to use cloud based service future to study by describing actual users voice of the inside their operation and data centers of Microsoft. |
