article"}]},"item_2_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"1882-7764","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_2_description_7":{"attribute_name":"論文抄録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"本論文では，仮想空間内での人間同士のコミュニケーションを補助する社会的エージェントについて述べる．このエージェントはパーティーにおけるホスト役を模擬しており，会話が停滞している2人のミーティング参加者に共通の話題を与えようとする．我々は，このエージェントを異文化間コミュニケーションの支援に適用する実験を行った．実験用に，ミーティング参加者との質疑応答を通して，文化的に共通の安全な話題を提供するエージェントと，危険な話題を提供するエージェントを設計した．実験は，専用線でつながれた京都大学とスタンフォード大学のPCの上で，我々が開発した仮想空間FreeWalkを動作させて行った．この実験において，安全なエージェントはアメリカ人の学生に肯定的な影響を与えた．一方，日本人の学生には否定的な影響を与えると同時に，会話相手との類似性を強調した．危険なエージェントのいる環境では，両国の学生とも会話をより面白いと感じ，日本人学生がよりアメリカ人のように振る舞った．実験の結果，危険な話題は有用であり，エージェントは各参加者に適応できた方が良く，エージェントの存在が参加者の振舞いに影響を及ぼすことが分かった．","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_2_description_8":{"attribute_name":"論文抄録(英)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"In this paper,we discuss a social agent that is designed to assist human-human communication in virtual spaces.This agent mimics a party host.It tries to find a common topic for two meeting participants whose conversation has lagged.We performed an experimental evaluation of the agent's ability to assist in cross-cultural communication.We designed two kinds of agents to introduce culturally common safe or unsafe topics to conversation pairs,through a series of questions and answers.We conducted this experiment on two PCs connected by the dedicated line between Kyoto University and Stanford University.FreeWalk was used as a virtual space,which was developed by us.In the experiment, the safe agent had positive effects for American students,however,the safe agent had negative effects for Japanese students,but simultaneously it made them think their partner was more similar to themselves.In the unsafe agent condition,both Japanese and American students thought their conversations were more interesting,and Japanese students acted more American.As a result, we found that unsafe topics are useful,an agent adaptive to each participant is good,and an agent's presence affects participants' style of
