内容記述 | TinyIPv6 a subset specification of the TCP/IPv6 protocol stack has been investigated under the condition that it is intended for therestricted use in remote control of home appliances connected to theInternet.A hardware implementation (tinyUDPIPv6) of the simplified protocol stack includinglink network and transport layers has been designed and realized onan FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array).The implementation requires 73% of the available hardware resourcesof 400 000 gate FPGA operating at a clock rate of 36.35? MHz.Round-trip times measured in ICMPv6 echo request and replyexperiments have revealed that the performance of the tinyUDPIPv6 moduleis competent with that of a Pentium 133? MHz PC.In this paper we describe elaborations for specifying the TinyIPv6 design and implementation of the protocol stack and evaluations of the results. | |||||||
