• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: ネットブートは PC 端末を一元管理する有用なソリューションであるが，ネットワーク環境によっては起動に時間がかかるなどの問題が指摘されている．本稿は，ローカルディスクをキャッシュとして用いてパフォーマンスを改善することを目指した京都大学の教育用端末システムを，ネットワークトラフィックの観点から，その有用性について議論する．トラフィックの分析の結果，キャッシュの有効性が示されたことに加え，ネットブートとは関係のないプロセスで時間がかかっていること，端末の起動とトラフィックに関する知見を得ることができた．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: Although Network-boot is a useful solution that centrally manages the PC terminal, depending on the network environment problems such as time-consuming to start has been pointed out. This paper, that is to improve performance by using a local disk as a cache at Kyoto University educational terminal system which is aimed, in terms of network traffic, its utility discussed. Traffic analysis of, in addition to the effectiveness of the cache is shown and process not related to Network-boot in that takes time, it was possible to obtain information about the start and the traffic of the terminal.
