It utilizes the sensors installed indoors, outdoors and inside the home appliances to acquire the indoor-outdoor conditions (e.g., temperature and number of people) and also power usage. The control of home appliances is performed automatically based on the acquired information. Compared to manual operation, it realizes a more effective and energy-saving application of home appliances. In addition, the home appliance control can be performed outside by collecting these sensor data on the cloud, which is able to be used to prevent accidents for elderly people and children, such as heat stroke. In our study, based on the data collected on the cloud and acquired on the terminals we perform the home automation by using iRemocon which follows the JSON format of Paspberry Pi control rule. The control results are also reported on Twitter for the users to know the operation situation of the home appliances.
