• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 本報告は，主に英語圏の地理情報科学分野で議論されている 「参加型 GIS」 を中心に，2000 年代後半より大きな潮流となりつつある地理空間情報のオープンな活用について検討する．地理空間情報は，地域研究の基礎資源になりうる一方，データ量や扱えるアプリケーションの特殊性等の学習コストが少なくないことから，特に日本では広範な分野では活用されていない．他方，データを通した地域課題解決が社会的に重要なトピックスになる中で，市民による科学的な地域理解や課題解決に向けた地理空間情報の活用が期待されている．したがって地理空間情報を中心とする地域資料が専門家以外でも容易に扱える環境整備を進め，市民との協働に向けた人材育成，さらにはこうした活動を継続するためのモチベーション向上に向けた支援が求められる．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: In this paper, mainly discussed on "participatory GIS" that has been actively since the late-2000s in geographic information science. This word was major trend as a open utilization and research surface of geographic information. Among the large-scale data utilization is a socially important topics, data utilization towards the scientific community understanding and problem solving by citizens is expected. Therefore, along with the advance an environment for regional article is provided to handle easily, even non-GIS technician, support for the citizens capable of cooperating with human resource development and motivation maintenance is required.
