Set Methodは,位相変化が可能な動的輪郭モデルとして注目を集め,現在,移動体追跡や3次元幾何形状モデリング,半導体や結晶形成シミュレーションなど,様々な用途に応用され始めている.しかしこの手法は,Snakesなど従来の動的輪郭モデルと比較して初期化や更新時の計算コストが高く,高速な計算手法の開発が大きな課題となっている.そこで本論文では高速で安定なLevel Set Methodの解法として,i) 拡張成長速度の利用と高速な拡張成長速度場の構築(Fast Narrow Band Method,FNB),ii) 補助関数の再初期化処理の高速化と頻繁な再初期化,を特徴とする新たなFast Level Set Methodを提案する.また従来のLevel Set level set method, introduced by S. Osher and J. A.
