Nowadays, studies based onmicrophone arrays utilize many microphones to obtain high detectionperformance in acoustical engineering. However, using multiple microphoneswould raise costs and hinder maintenance. To achieve good results in speakerlocalization only with two low-cost microphones, we employ the statisticalmodel-based voice activity detection (VAD) and a sound-source-directionestimator based on the generalized cross-correlation with phase transform(GCC-PHAT).
