In such systems, the power level of nodes can be managed to provide proportional power-performance ratio corresponding to system's utilization level. Based on this idea, a number of proposals focusing on data placement, load balancing and so on have been proposed and evaluated to be successful in providing such characteristic to storage system. However, their performances still not been directly compared with each other yet.
