• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: メッセージ集約コミュニティウェアGroupScribe は，コミュニティ内でやりとりされる複数のメッセージから目的に合った情報を抽出してドキュメントの形で保存し，メッセージと関連づけて整理することのできるシステムである．これにより，コミュニケーションに埋もれがちな重要な情報を効率良く共有し，円滑なコミュニケーションを促進させることを目指している．GroupScribe の有効性を評価するため，社内において長期かつ大規模な利用実験を行い，実際の利用統計データから，メッセージ集約による情報共有の効率向上の度合いを測定した．その結果，情報の閲覧と到達のコストが大幅に抑えられることが分かった．また，機能を有効に活用しているコミュニティを調べたところ，業務や利用目的に応じた特徴的な利用パターンがあることが明らかになった．こうした結果から，提案システムが実際の業務におけるコミュニケーションと情報共有の支援に有効であると結論づけることができる．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: We have developed a message summarizing communityware, GroupScribe, which provides functions that extract information necessary for certain purposes from the messages exchanged among users in a community, and save it as a message-related document. The main purpose of the system is to achieve effective sharing of information, much of which tends to be buried in messages, and thereby to facilitate communication with users. To evaluate the effectiveness and value of GroupScribe, we measured the improvement in information sharing from the usage statistics in a long and extensive experiment in our company, and found it much easier to browse and reach the information needed. We also investigated the communities making effective use of the functions in GroupScribe. It has turned out that there are typical usage patterns according to the community’s purpose. We therefore conclude that the system can effectively support communication and information sharing in real business situations.
