The source localization problem is formulated as an inverse problem of the EEG generative model and the location and moment of dipoles are estimated by multiple particle filters. The appropriate number of dipoles is selected by a model selection criterion. The proposed method is shown to estimate accurately the locations and moments of dipoles of appropriate numbers.
