To create this emulation system with several PC clusters, it is required to synchronize time clock among the PC clusters with high accuracy. In this system, we installed network interface card (NIC) with many core CPU in each PCs, and developed high accuracy time synchronization protocol based on IEEE 1588 PTP in a NIC firmware. The timestamp is attached on every frame VM generates, and the frames are forwarded to the wireless channel emulation process which emulates wireless propagation, CSMA/CA protocol, interference, and bit errors. After the calculation, the frame is transmitted to the receiver VM to fit the time of the wireless frame reception time if there were no bit error.
