Topographic maps and aerial photographs are essential basic materials for sociological field surveys, but they have not been efficiently used in Thailand due to difficulty of access. On the other hand, many important archaeological remains in rural areas have become increasingly difficult to identify due to rapid environmental changes. To provide a practical tool to support a scientific approach to field surveys, I have been developing a navigation tool.
