Kubernetes環境におけるコンテナイメージ共有化を用いたコンテナライブマイグレーション機能の実装と評価 Implementation and Evaluation of Container Live Migration Feature Using Container Image Sharing in Kubernetes Environment 出口, 弘大 桝田, 秀夫 永井, 孝幸 森, 真幸 Kodai, Deguchi Hideo, Masuda Takayuki, Nagai Masayuki, Mori 高可用性 コンテナランタイムやそのオーケストレーションツールは，コンテナノード間でのライブマイグレーション機能を活用することがあまりない．しかしながら，比較的長時間にわたる計算を行いたいジョブを処理したい場合には，処理の中断を避けるためにライブマイグレーション機能が望まれると考えられる．本論文では，リモートファイルシステムを用いたコンテナイメージの共有を前提として，アプリケーションのダウンタイムが短くなるように工夫を施し，Kubernetesクラスタ上で円滑なライブマイグレーションを行うためのシステムを実装した．また実装したライブマイグレーション機能単体およびシステム全体の性能を評価した． Container runtimes and their orchestration tools do not often take advantage of live migration capabilities between container nodes. However, when processing jobs that require relatively long computation runs, a live migration capability is desirable to avoid processing interruptions. In this paper, we implemented a system for the live migration feature on a Kubernetes cluster, based on the assumption that container images are shared using a remote file system, and devised a way to reduce application downtime.
