洗わない猫トイレを活用した猫砂廃棄量削減手法の提案 Proposal of a Method to Reduce Cat Litter Waste by Using a Non-Washable Cat Litter 小川, 大輝 越川, 雄登 川口, 涼子 武井, 健太郎 米山, 一暢 森, 信一郎 Taiki, Ogawa Yuto, Koshikawa Ryoko, Kawaguchi Kentaro, Takei Kazunobu, Yoneyama Shinichiro, Mori IoTとサービス 昨今，「2022 年 (令和 4 年) 全国犬猫飼育実態調査結果」[1] によると猫の飼育頭数が増加してきている．それに伴い猫の飼育ゴミも増加している．廃棄されるゴミの多くは猫トイレの不快な臭いを抑制するトイレ洗浄に伴って破棄される猫砂である．猫トイレに付着する残尿などが不快な匂いの原因であり，月に一回程度の洗浄が一般的に行われている．その際，猫トイレ内にある猫砂は再利用されることなく廃棄される．この廃棄される猫砂は年間で数十トンにもなり深刻な問題である．そこで私は猫トイレの臭い抑制と猫砂廃棄抑制を課題とし，それらを解決できるアイデアの提案を行う． According to the "2022 (2022) National Survey on Dogs and Cats" [1], the number of cats kept in Japan has been increasing recently. The amount of cat-kept waste has also been increasing accordingly. Most of the waste is cat litter, which is discarded when cats clean their toilets to control unpleasant odors. Residual urine and other substances adhering to the cat litter box are the cause of the unpleasant odor, and it is common practice to clean it about once a month. At that time, the cat litter in the cat toilets is discarded without being reused. The amount of cat litter discarded is several tens of tons per year, which is a serious problem.
