<datacite:description descriptionType="Other">In this talk, I will discuss recent advances in human behavior sensing technologies when solving economic and social issues currently being researched in ubiquitous and mobile computing. As young researchers, it is our responsibility to shape how the future of ubiquitous and mobile computing will be conducted, by integrating human behavior into our cyber-physical equations we ensure that designs of products and methods can be adaptable and personalized to the end user for each specific application. Mobile and ubiquitous devices such as smartphones, wearables, and IoT cameras, as well as machine learning techniques for human behavior recognition, are currently considered the best method to design solutions in the cyber-physical space. I will introduce three examples of such developments in current top-level research and how such solutions provide future avenues for human-centered solutions in the fields of personal space, healthcare, and industry.</datacite:description>
