          <datacite:description descriptionType="Other">本稿では，複数台の PC 同士を高精度に時刻同期し，無線 LAN 通信システムのシミュレーションを並列にリアルタイム実行することにより，PC 内の仮想マシン同士の通信をあたかも無線 LAN を介して通信しているかの様に再現するエミュレーションシステムを紹介する．このシステムは，メニーコアネットワークインターフェースカード （NIC） にて，IEEE1588PTP を用いて高精度の時刻同期を行うとともに，仮想マシン上で送受信されるパケットにタイムスタンプを付けてチャネルエミュレーションプロセスに送信する．チャネルエミュレーションプロセスでは，伝搬時間計算，CSMA/CA の MAC プロトコル，干渉信号によるピット誤り計算を行い，送信時間と伝搬遅延時間後にピット誤りが無ければ目的の仮想マシンへ転送する．本稿では，同一のシナリオにおいてエミュレーションとシミュレーションによる通信特性を評価した結果を比較し，エミュレーションによる通信特性が妥当であるかの評価を行う．</datacite:description>
          <datacite:description descriptionType="Other">In this paper we introduce real time wireless LAN emulation system for virtual machines (VMs), which simulate the communication between VMs as if they were communicating over wireless LAN system by calculating wireless LAN protocol model for each frame VM generates. To create this emulation system with several PC clusters, it is required to synchronize time clock among the PC clusters with high accuracy. In this system, we installed network interface card (NIC) with many core CPU in each PCs, and developed high accuracy time synchronization protocol based on IEEE 1588 PTP in a NIC firmware. The timestamp is attached on every frame VM generates, and the frames are forwarded to the wireless channel emulation process which emulates wireless propagation, CSMA/CA protocol, interference, and bit errors. After the calculation, the frame is transmitted to the receiver VM to fit the time of the wireless frame reception time if there were no bit error. In this paper, we simulate the same simple scenarios by the simulator and emulator, and compare the throughput characteristics between them.</datacite:description>
