CPUクロック制御によるサーバのピークエネルギー消費削減の試み Reduction of Peak Energy Consumption by Controlling CPU Frequency on Server 石島, 悌 平松, 初珠 山東, 悠介 岩田, 晋弥 Dai, Ishijima Hatsumi, Hiramatsu Yusuke, Sando Shinya, Iwata ◆IOTセッション#3 東日本大震災を端緒とする電力逼迫問題は， 2012 年夏に関西地域において大きな問題となった．関西電力の域内では 2010 年比 10% の電力削減が要請された．本稿では， CPU クロックを制御することにより，サーバの消費電力を 10% 程度削減する試みについて報告する．ノートパソコンやスマートフォンなどのモバイル機器では動作クロックを制御することによって，消費電力の低減が図られている．この仕組みをサーバにおいて導入することにより，サーバの消費電力を削減した． In the Kansai region, power shortage originated with the Great East Japan Earthquake, became a big problem in this summer. In the region of Kansai Electric Power, reduction of power consumption by 10% compared to that in 2010 was requested. In this paper, we report an attempt to reduce 10% of power consumption of the server by controlling the CPU clock. In mobile devices, such as note PCs and smart phones, reduction of power consumption is achieved by same method.
