JAISTにおけるサーバールーム構築：負荷と電力消費の関係、空調 Implementation of Server Rooms in JAIST:Relation between Load and Power Consumption,and Air Condition 小原, 泰弘 岡本, 忠男 宇多, 仁 Yasuhiro, Ohara Tadao, Okamoto Satoshi, Uda CPUの消費電力の増加、発熱量増加、サーバー機器の高密度化が進んでいる。グリーンITへの要請から、消費電力の低減や、効率的な冷却手法が重要となってきた。本稿では、北陸先端科学技術大学院大学(以下JAIST)のサーバールームの構築と運用管理の一環として、 1)メールサーバーの負荷と消費電力の関係調査、 2)効率的な冷却を目指した空調とラックの構築を紹介する。JAISTにおいてはメールサーバーの負荷と消費電力の相関関係は低いこと、より精度の高い電力測定器などを利用しなければ詳細な関連は測れないこと、空調とラッ Recently CPU power consumption, amount of CPU heat, and space-density of servers are growing.
