• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: ユーザ生成コンテンツの世界には多種多様なコンテンツが存在しており，中にはユーザが創意工夫によって新技術を開発し，独創的なシステムを作り上げたものもある．そのような事例の中には研究として高く評価しうる内容が含まれていることもあるが，従来は研究者コミュニティとの接点は薄く，埋もれた存在となっていた．そこで，ユーザ参加型という理念を基本とした新しい学会「ニコニコ学会 β 」を立ち上げ，プロとアマが共に研究発表を行う場を作り上げた．2011 年 12 月に第 1 回のシンポジウムを開催し，2012 年 4 月には第 2 回のシンポジウムを開催した．本稿では，背景と理念，および開催したシンポジウムの概要について解説する．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: We see a wide variety of contents in the world of user-generated contents. In some cases, the creators has developed their own technology and created unique systems. In such case, the content contains high value as research, but the research community does not have bold relationship with them. Therefore, we developed a new society ”NicoNicoGakkai Beta” to promote user participatory research. We held the 1st symposium in December 2011, and the 2nd symposium in April 2012. In this paper, we describe background, concept and overview of the society.
