• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: Google の日本語音声検索は、音声認識により Web 検索を行うための無償のサービスである。本講演では、このサービスに対する我々の考え方、開発の経緯、技術的課題、特に日本語固有の問題と解決法、そして将来の展望などについて述べる。Google で行われている他の音声関連のプロジェクトについても紹介する。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: Google's Japanese Voice Search, a free service to recognize spoken web queries and currently available for the iPhone/iPod-Touch/iPad as part of the Google Mobile App and some Android platform phones has been growing steadily in traffic since its launch in December 2009. In this talk I want to share what our vision for Japanese Voice Search is, how we planned to develop it, what challenges we faced, how language models, acoustic models and dictionary were developed, what special techniques we had to develop because of special features of the Japanese language, what maintenance is necessary to keep it working, and how we see Voice Search develop in the future. I will show some demos for other languages and some new features currently only available for English Voice Search. I will also discuss briefly other speech projects at Google, the audio indexing project and its use for YouTube, Voice Mail transcription as part of Google Voice and other experimental projects..
