• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: メディア化したコンピュータを含む多くのコンピュータが導入された生活についてTRONを通して展望する。我々のTRONプロジェクトでは将来のコンピュータのビジョンとして、これをメディアとして捉えるだけでなく、メディアも含めた広い意味での将来の生活基盤として位置付け、その整備を行うことを目標としている。本稿では、この「コンピュータは生活」というビジョンについて説明するとともに、そのビジョンに立っての技術開発の方向性およびその課題について述べる。さらに、それらの課題に対するTRONプロジェクトで考えられている対応についても解説する。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: In the TRON Project, we view living with many computers-including computers with media capability-through the TRON Architecture. Our future vision calls for computers to serve not merely as media, but rather to play a much broader role as the basis for a future lifestyle that also includes media. Our objective is to provide the framework for this lifestyle. In this paper, along with an explanation of this "computerized living" vision. I will discuss the issues and course of technical developments toward establishing this vision. I will then outline the TRON Project's ideas for coping with these issues.
