• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: UNIXワークステーション、Macintosh並びにMS/DOSパソコンそれぞれの長所を活かしつつ協調処理できる研究室ネットワークをTCP/IPを共通プロトコルにして構築し、運用中である。通信機能を活用することにより、地方で生活しながら、都心と同程度の情報を得て、教育・研究に当たるべく、研究室外とは、LANと専用線を介したインターネット並びにISDNで接続した。これらの設備を使い、日常的な電子メール、さらに、FAXと計算機連携、電子新聞の発行など、実践的な活動を計画中である。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: A research laboratory network which can combine the best use of the participating UNIX workstations, Machintosh and MS/DOS personal computers has been designed and implemented using TCP/IP as the common protocol. To promote research and education by obtaining as much information as in the metropolitan area, while actually living in the country, the laboratory network is connected to outside by Internet via LAN and leased line, and by ISDN. This facilities is used for daily electric mail, file transfer and for practical research such as FAX to computer interwork, and electric newspaper.
