• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: ネットワーク上に構築した仮想3次元空間インタスペースにおけるコミュニケーションの参加の特性を見出すため、インタスペースを用いて被験者(1名）による協調活動のコミュニケーション行動を定量的に分析した．発話時間、発話頻度、発話内容（発言主体性、「社会ステータス」要因）、移動行動を分析した結果、2つの「リーダ」行動方法が観察された．一つはタスク型で、リーダ一人がまとめ役等のスキルとシンボリックなスキルを兼ねて実施する行動方法である．もう一つは人間関係を重視するメンバサポート型で、シンボリックなスキルは実リーダが行い、まとめ役等のスキルは「代替リーダ」が行う行動方法である．この実験結果で得られた協調活動のコミュニケーション参加の特性から、コミュニティ形成などの環境づくりに必要とする限りないコミュニケーション機会とサイバー環境インタスペースの可能性について考察する．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: This paper will present our experiment results on participants' behavior in group communication activity using a cyber environment called InterSpace. Eleven college students carried on a concerted group activity in three adhoc groups which involves choosing a social issue, coordinating, and discussing, and presenting their discussed results. We analyzed how group participants communicate with each other in terms of time, frequency, content (utterances, social status) and movements in InterSpace during the discussion phase. Two types of group communication behavior was observed from a role-related perspective. One type is where one member demonstrates his communicative skills functionally within his group both as a task-based leader and as a socio-emotional leader. Another type is where one member plays role as a socio-emotional leader, and a different member plays role as task-based leader. Based on our findings, we conclude that InterSpace can potentially support individuals' group communication activities in diverse ways which is not possible with previous media. By enabling such individual involvement in group communication activities on networks, we briefly present our ideas on the kind of opportunities which InterSpace may be able to bring, especially for creating and maintaining network communities.
