• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 歴史研究への計算機応用は最近関心が高まっているが、ここでは筆者が行ったこの種の研究に就いて紹介している。即ち、まず文字情報に関しては、続日本紀の全文についての用例索引に就いて述べ、この種の索引が研究上重要なツールであることを指摘している。ついで、図形情報の例として、景観表示を取り上げ、歴史研究には広角度を収める表示を必要とすることが多いことを指摘し、この目的に適した表示法を提案している。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: The author discusses his research of computer applications for research in history. At first, he reviews the computer production of concordance for an history book, syokunihongi, and discusses on the importance of concordance as a tool for research work. Some problems are pointed out. Then, the author asserts that landscape display covering wide direction is of ten needed for examining possible location for the landscape described in literature. He proposes a display technique suitable for this purpose, which is extended to display wide panoramic landscape.
