• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: テストには、学習者の総合的な到達度を測ったり、ある目標ラインに達しているかどうかを判定したりする役割のほかに、個々の学習者のその時点での習得状況を的確に診断し、その後の学習に役立つアドバイスを与えるといった「診断的評価」の役割もある。初級(0字?500字の漢字を既習）程度の学習者を対象に、漢字の習得状況に関する診断を行う「漢字力診断テスト」を作成し、パーソナルコンピュータを利用したCATの開発を行った。漢字習得に必要と思われる12の評価（学習）項目を立て、それぞれの項目に関するテストの結果を12本の軸上においてレーダーチャートで表すことにより、学習者の漢字力（漢字習得状況）、特に弱いところや強化するべきところをイメージとして知ることができる。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: In addition to its function of measuring the overall level of achievement of a learner and evaluating whether a learner has achieved a certain target line, the test also incorporates a "diagnostic evaluation" function which precisely determines the current acquisition stage of each learner at the time of testing, permitting instructors to give each learner advice which will prove helpful in future study. A "Kanji Ability Diagnostic Test" which evaluates the stage of Kanji acquisition of learners in the elementary level (mastery of 300-500 Kanji) was also prepared, and the development of a CAT program run on a personal computer was considered. A list of 12 study items though necessary in the learning of Kanji was drawn up. The display of the results of he test for each of these items on a twelve-axis radar chart provides learners with a graphic representation of weaknesses in their individual "Kanji Ability (state of Kanji acquisition)" and areas which need further emphasis during study.
