• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 平成7年度の米国マサチューセッツ工科大学(I)の夏季科学技術日本語講座におけるコンピュータ科学および電子・電気工学分野の読解教育において、日本語読解支援システム(ATERS= Computer Assisted TEchnical Reading Syste)を授業の予習用に使用してもらった。システムの利用状況と、授業における教授行動や学習行動に関する学習者の評価について、学習者にアンケート調査および面談調査を行った。その結果から、科学技術日本語の読解教育におけるシステム、授業のあり方と評価の問題について考える。日本語教師の役割と科学技術の専門家の役割についても検討する。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: CATERS (Computer Assisted TEcnical Reading System) has been used for preparation of the reading class by the students of the Technical Japanese Course at MIT in 1995 Summer. Questionnaires and interview were carried out with the students concerning their evaluation on the use of CATERS and teaching and learning behaviour in class. From the result the authors discuss problems of computer assisted systems, classroom instruction and its evaluation in teaching technical Japanese reading. The roles of Japanese language teachers and specialists in technical fields are also discussed.
