• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: われわれは，WWWで検索可能な考古学データベースを構築した．本稿では，考古学データベースの構成と検索システムの概要について述べる．まず，考古学データベースの前方後円墳データのデータフォーマットとその基礎となったデータベースシステムを紹介する．次に，実際に検索ページがおかれている前方後円墳ホームページと検索システムの構成を述べる．さらに，絞り込み検索時の問題点とその解決法を述べ，最後に検索結果の一例を提示する．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: A Japanese archaeological database has been released, which can be accessed through WWW. Conceptual structure of the database and its retrieving system have been described. Precisely, the data structure of "Kofun" and its database system have been described. The "Kofun" homepage followed by the query page has also been presented. Finally, some examples retrieved by queries are shown and technical problems in the present of the retrieving system have been discussed.
