| 内容記述 | This paper describes a polygonal approximation method for freehand line drawings. This method aims at approximating to original patterns as close as possible and has two features. One is that it does not use thinning which causes an original pattern to be distorted. The other is that it has a hierarchical structure by which the degree of approximation can be changed depending on the complexity of line drawings to realize an efficient processing. We applied this method to city maps and confirmed that it can obtain high accurate approximation results. | |||||||
