• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 自然言語処理の対象は高度に構造化されている一方でしばしば、また微妙に構造を逸脱する。関数プログラミングに代表される従来のパラダイムは複雑に構造化された対象を整理して扱う強力な方法論である一方、構造を逸脱する対象に対する柔軟性を欠いているとも言える。本稿では言語 REFL を提案し、この言語が関数プログラミング的な構造処理の能力を保持しつつ、構造を逸脱するような対象に対してより柔軟な処理を可能とするものであることを、主に自然言語処理のプログラミング例などを通じて示す。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: NLP deals with things that are structured to a great extent but not always completely reducible to structures. Functional programming and other conventional programming paradigms, while they provide powerful tools to process complex structures systematically, can be inefficient for data that deviate from the structures. In this paper, we present a programming language called REFL and show, through examples in NLP, how this language can be more effective than other languages in dealing with deviations from structures while retaining the advantages of functional languages.
