• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 遺跡の発掘時には，どのような場所から発掘されたのか，どのような状況で発掘されたのかといった情報を記録するために写真を多数撮影する．その枚数は小規模な遺跡でも数百枚以上となり，大規模な遺跡では数万枚に及ぶこともまれではない．このように大量に撮影された考古学写真を有効に流通させるためにDublin Core Metadata要素に準拠したメタデータ項目を定義した．さらにそれをもとにして構築した考古学写真データベースについて報告する．また考古学写真は長期の保管の間に退色の問題や，保管者の異動による散逸の可能性がある．電子化してデータベースとして保存することでこれらの問題を解決することができる．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: A huge number of photographs are taken when archeologists excavate a ruin. The author proposed metadata of archeological photographs based on Dublin Core Metadata. Using proposed metadata, the author constructed a database which stores archeological photographs. The database should help the following two problems. The one is loss of archeological photographs. Long term keeping will lose colors of photographs. Digitizing photographs keep photographs as they are. The other is circulation of archeological photographs. Archeological photographs are cultural heritage and circulation of them is very important and meaningful. In this paper, the author describes the details of metadata of archeological photographs and constructed database of archeological photographs.
