| 内容記述 | 学術情報センターで開発した一次情報サービスNACSIS?ELSの設計方針、サービス機能、技術的特長をまとめている。このシステムは、1995年2月に試行運用に入っており、100名以上のモニタ利用者に供されている。この結果得られた課題についても言及している。NACSIS?ELSは、インターネット上で動作する情報サービスシステムで、特に学術文献の提供を意図して実装されたものである。二次情報データベースの検索機能に加え、一次情報の検索表示機能を持っている。一次情報は学術文献のページをスキャンして得られた画像情報である。情報処理学会など三学会の出版物の電子化を進めており、現在行っている試行による評価をさらなるシステム開発に反映していく。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | This paper briefly describes a design policy, service functions and technical advantages of NACSIS-ELS, Nacsis Electronic Library System. This system is already in trial service in February, 1995 and more than 100 monitors are using for evaluation purpose. NACSIS-ELS is an information system which operates on internet, specially aimed for dissemination of scientific and technological documents. It has the capability to send pages of journals which are stored in the form of digitized images as well as secondary database search functions. Presently, the publications of three Japanese academic societies including Information Processing Society are used for image capture. The evaluation by monitors will soon be reflected to further software development. | |||||||
