• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 新聞社は、刻一刻と変化する国内外のニュースを様々な通信網を利用していちはやく集め、読者に分り易い形に変えて伝えている。海外に住む日本人が個人で日本国内外の情報を知るためには、かなりの時間と費用を要することが多かった。現在では、通信網の発達により世界の出来事は、その日の内に知ることが出来るようになった。また、海外で生活する日本人や旅行者は増加する傾向にある。しかし、彼等の多くは日本国内や海外で発生したニュースを知る機会が少ない。朝日新聞社は、日本国内で発行される当日の新聞を衛星回線を使用し、海外の日本人向けに『国際衛星版』としてロンドン、ニューヨーク、ロサンゼルスで発行している。ここでは、海外の支局から送られてくる様々な情報を収集、製作し、『国際衛星版』を海外の受信局に送信するまでを簡単に紹介する。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: The number of Japanese residents abroad are increasing now. It had been taken much time and cost for them to know various news. We have gathered and proposed news immediately to them by many intelligent network. At present we issue special newspaper, called "INTERNATIONAL EDITION", for our oversea subscribers using a communication satellite. Through this newspaper, published in LONDON, NEWYORK and LOS-ANGELES, they can read domestic and world news in Japanese language as our readers in Japan can do so. This description explains about the network system of gathering news and nevspaper facsimile.
