• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 情報技術の使命は何であろうか?脳神経系など個人の身体を延長する、つまり人間拡張のためにも生かしたいし、組織において協調作業や「個」の自覚を促進させる、つまり組織社会変容のためにも生かしたいし、また新しい社会関係を築く、つまり社会変容のためにも生かすべきではなかろうか?ここでは情報技術を生かすという視点から問題を広く鳥瞰、情報技術が志向すべきフロンティア領域を浮き彫りにした。そして情報技術をそこに生かすために必要とされる新しい手法/アプローチのイメージ模索を試み。本研究で主張したいことは、イ） 社会レベルで求められる情報技術は、個人や組織間のコミュニケーションを促進して、新しいイノベーションが起こるような「場づくり」を促進することに役立てることが最も重要である、ロ） 社会や組織に情報技術を生かすには社会学的もしくは組織科学的なアプローチが不可欠である、ハ） そしてこのような手法の体系化を目指す情報システム （学） 研究活動自体これらの新しい手法・アプローチの格好の対象になる、ニ） 情報システム （学） 研究を促進させるためにも （コンピュータを介した学際的研究ネットワーク等） 情報技術自身の活用が図られるべきである、等である。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: What is the mission of information technologies (IT)? They should be applied for the extension of human brain-nerve systems. They should be applied for the restructuring of organizational mind or climate, supporting the cooperation, the participation and the networking in organizations. They should also be applied for the change of social relations in societies. Spot-lighting these areas IT should be applied for, we presented images for new methods and approaches necessary to make IT effective for these areas. In the paper, we pointed out that the most important IT application in society is to eatablish electronic social fields to promote communications between people or between organizations, that sociological approaches are necessary to apply IT for these areas, that the contexts of information systems research itself becomes an application target of these sociological approaches, and that IT, such as computer supported inter-disciplinal networking, should be applied to promote information systems research.
