• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 本論文ではユビキタス環境における知的能力拡大ツールとしての新しいペンが有効であることを示し、具体的な使用例について述べる。 あふれる情報の中から必要な情報だけを取得することは非常に困難である。ユビキタス環境が実現するとさらに周囲に情報が増加し、それを取得するツールが不可欠になる。このペンではデジタルデバイスからだけでなく、今後情報が付加されていくと考えられる本や街の看板などからも情報をキャプチャ・保存し、コンピュータや電子ペーパーを用いたデバイスに取り込み、構成し、文字や絵を書き込むことができる。このペンによる直接的な操作と、主体的な構成作業による情報へのアクセスにより、知的能力が拡大するというフレームを構築する。さらに、具体的な使用環境として美術館をあげ、その有効性を確認している。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: In this paper, we will present a new pen that is used as an intellect augmentation tool of ubiquitous computing environment. And we will describe the specific use of this tool. It's very difficult for us to draw essential information out from the vast amounts of information. When the ubiquitous computing environment come to realize, amounts of information increase more. With this pen, we can capture and store information from not only digital devices but also books or signs of city which have digital information in the future, and we can also bring these information onto computers to compose them and write a sentence or an illustration. By use of this pen, direct manipulation and subjective composing operation make our intellect augmented. Then we give a museum as a concrete use environment example, and confirm the effectiveness.
