• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: グラフィックス，イメージ，映像表現を用いて，人間?システム間および人間同士のコミュニケーションを支援する方法に関して，メディア表現がもたらす効果と欠点について考察する．グラフィックス表現はデータの意味を分かり易くしたり，意図をこめた表現を可能にする手段として有効である．ビジネスグラフやプレゼンテーション，ビジュアルシミュレーションはこのよい例である．一方，表現を的確に行なうスキルの問題や表現と理解の関係が不明確であるというリテラシーに関する問題がある．これらの問題への対処法としては，インタフェース技術によるスキルの差の吸収，色や文化など共通概念のグラフィックス表現への反映が当面とれる方法として存在する．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: This paper discusses pros and cons of graphic representation of data for supporting human-machine communications. Graphics has been effectively used for communicating ideas concepts and meanings of data. Business graphics, presentation and visual simulation are all stereographic application field of effectively using graphics. However, there are some controvercial issues for using graphics. They are skill issue and literacy issue. To cope with these issues, user interface should be enough friendly and should reflect social and cultural backgrounds.
