• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: NHK大河ドラマ「春日局」の冒頭において、コンピュータ・グラフィクス（）を用いて、当時の江戸城や江戸の町の発展の変遷を紹介した。過去の多くの資料をもとに、実在しない歴史上重要な建物をCGにより忠実に復元することは、人文科学、歴史学や教育など多くの分野で非常に有効であることを示すことかできた。ここでは、江戸城の復元のためのモデリングおよびレンダリレグ手法について紹介すると共に、CGにおける今後の課題について考察する。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: We faithfully restored Edo Castle of about 380 years ago by computer graphics (CG), and showed it at the "Kasuga-no-tsubone" NHK TV series program in 1989. It is very effective and useful in cultural science, history and education to represent historical objects by using CG technologies. This paper describes modeling and rendering technologies for the restoration of Edo Castle, and give some considerations in the restoration of historical objects by CG.
