• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: コンピュータを用いて、いかにコンピュータらしい美しい絵を生成できるか、その可能性を試みた。そのためにコンピュータ・アート用のシステムを作成した。出力にプロッタ（白黒）を想定したART?3システム(tistic Realistic Technician?3の略）とカラーグラフィク用のART?4システムである。これらのシステムは画素でキャンバスを塗りつぶして絵をかくが、画素のサイズ、密度、画素自身の形および画素の色を関数で制御する。ARTシステムによるいくつかの作品例を呈示し、コンピュータ・アートの種々の面について議論する。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: This article discusses show to generate beautiful and computer-like pictures by computers and a possibility of computer srt. So far, I have developed a series of computer art systems. The ART-3 (Artistic Realistic Technician #3) is designed for black-and-white pictures to be drawn by a plotter, while the ART-4 system under development is for color graphics. These systems draw small pattern elements on the canvas, and mathematical functions control the size, color, density, or selection, of the pattern elements. By showing several pictures drawn by the ART-3, we discuss various aspects of computer art.
