• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 陶芸における伝統的技法である練込技法は、異なる色の土を層状に積み重ねたり練り合わせたりして文様を作成する技法である。この技法ついて、コンピュータグラッフィクス技術を適用して表現する方法を検討した。まず、この技法について説明を行い、技法とCG技術との関連について述べる。次に、既存CG技術を適用し試作した表示ソフトについて述べ、これを用いて実施した文様を施した陶磁器製品表示例を示す。ソフト制作と画像表示の試みにより、練込技法における既存CG技術で対応可能な部分が明確となった。同時に、これらの検討を通じて手工芸分野へのCG利用の指針が得られた。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: Nerikomi, which is on the most traditional techniques in clay work, has the many techniques for making patterns of piled or kneaded color clays. This paper is intended as a consideration of the problems of how to apply computer graphics techniques for visual simulation of the Nerikomi techniques. First, the techniques are explained and are examined from the viewpoint of applying CG techniques. Then, this paper shows some images of ceramic wares with Nerikomi patterns using a pilot CG software which is applied the existing CG techniques. Through these trials and consideration, a guideline for the representation of handicraft using CG was gained.
