• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: Photoshop やPainterのように筆をマウスに持ち替えて絵画的な作品を作り出すシステムとほとんど全ての行程をアルゴリズミックに作り出すシステムとでは、それを利用する者に求められる能力や思考の方法が異なっている。本論ではこれらの違いを5つの側面から考察した。その結果として、アルゴリズミックに作品を作り出すシステムでは計画的に作画をしたり、処理に対する結果を予測する能力や視覚の情報処理の知識などが芸術的な感性に加えて必要であることが挙げられた。また、これらの特徴から芸術と科学の距離を縮める入り口としてゴリズミックに作品を作り出すシステムが有効であるという提案をした。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: Knowledge and a way of thinking needed to create an art work are different between creation by Photoshop and Painter that are systems using a mouse instead of a brush and one by non-photorealistic algorithm like SIC (Synergistic Image Creator). In this document, the differences are shown from 5 directions. As a result of that, it is shown that planning to creation, prediction of results, and knowledge of human visual processing are required in addition to artistic sensibility for creation by non-photorealistic algorithm. Finally, I proposed use of algorithmic non-photorealistic system to shrink the length between science and art.
