• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 筆者らは、特別な操作技術や知識を持たない素人ユーザを対象としたUI機構「素人インタフェース」を提案し、このUI機構を提供するソフトウェアプラットフォームを搭載したポータブル端末試作機を開発した。本試作機は、タッチパネルを装着したカラー液晶と3つのボタンを持ち、手書きカラーイメージの入カとソフトボタン/リスト選択入力による、家庭、オフィス、店舗等での新しい情報通信サービスを提供することができる。本論文では、ポータブル端末製品のUIについて考察し、素人ユーザを対象とした試作機のシステム構成とUIの概要について述べる。さらに、今後の展開として、物理世界メタファを利用したアプリケーション環境について述べる。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: We propose a new user-interface mechanism for novice people without any computer-related skill and knowledge, which we inplemented on a portable terminal. The prototype, with a color LCD panel and 3 mechanical buttons, allows us to input handwritten images, and select menu-items on the touch panel. It is expected that the prototype will provide new infomation/communication services to home, offices and stores. In this paper, we show you the current state of art on portable terminals, and describe the system overview on the prototype. Finally we add the next approach on the portable terminal in progress.
